tokyobike has partnered with the LA-based Asian pop culture emporium Giant Robot on a single bike featuring original artwork by Katsuya Terada and James Jean.

In partnership with Ippon Matsu Beer we will be offering this very unique bicycle via an exclusive auction hosted by Paddle8 to benefit victims of the 2011 tsunami in Rikuzentakata, specifically, the Orphan's Education Fund.

Join us for the launch of this incredible auction, Ippon Matsu Beer tasting and sips of SOTO Sake.

tokyobike is a small, independent bicycle company founded in 2002 in the quiet Tokyo suburb of Yanaka. Based on the concept of 'Tokyo Slow' our bicycles are designed to explore the places we love and call home. With a tokyobike, it is as much about the journey as the destination.

Giant Robot was founded in Eric Nakamura's apartment in 1994 in which he published the first issue of the Giant Robot Magazine by stapling a bunch of black and white 8.5 x 11 paper. Since then it has become one of the most prominent pop culture magazines in the United States publishing content that has Asian American art, culture, perspectives, and stories.

Brewed with purpose, Ippon Matsu Beer is trying to spread the message of charity, raise awareness and help those living in the aftermath of the tsunami. All profits are donated to the reconstruction efforts in Rikuzentakata, Japan.
